Just before the Music & Bits Amsterdam lands during the Amsterdam Dance Event, another Music & Bits will be held in Salzburg Hallein during ‘Schmiede’ in Austria.
“Schmiede welcomes Music & Bits” will happen on the weekend of 16th and 17th of September. Schmiede is an annual festival and community for producers since 2003 where three things happen:network, create & present. Once a year, Schmiede happens gather in Hallein, Austria. Schmiede is an open platform and we’re proud to join forces during this year’s ‘Chaos creates structure’ theme this year.
If you want to join, please RSVP here: http://schmiede.ca/blog/post/rutiger/schmiede11-guest-registration_/
Rutiger Wassibauer of Schmiede: “‘Schmiede welcomes Music & Bits’ will take place in the Boiler Room and Tower and will have a special setting. Schmiede is very excited as Music and Bits will bring an entire new wave of speakers and perspectives to Schmiede. People interested will have the possibility to watch the developers from the Bridge and interact with them during the project presentations in the Tower. We are in talks about our guest speakers and participating companies and will inform you as soon as we can.”
“Schmiede empowers the process of social networking by bringing together the essentials: space, infrastructure, food, people, and freedom to explore. Here you’ll find like-minded friends and associates to push your work to another level. There are no teachers at Schmiede, just around 140 people like you, both experts and students in their professions and spheres of interest. The Schmiede network revolves around digital media but is comprised of much more. Schmiede is a collective process: it doesn’t matter who we are, what matters is what we want.
“‘Schmiede welcomes …’ is a new SchmiedeFormat that provides an interface for other festivals and projects to interact with Schmiede on a cooperative level. The exact and most beneficiary structure is task focused and decided on an individual level.”
We were there at the last Schmiede and we had an amazing time. We’d love to see you in Austria to enjoy the amazing ambience, hack on stuff together and have fun. If you have any questions, please contact Rutiger from Schmiede.
