About

Music & Bits is an exploration of Music & Technology.

It started in April 2009, as Music & Bits was the pre-conference of The Next Web event. To complement the event, Music & Bits was part of pre-conference sessions held a day before the main event. Teaming up with the Amsterdam Mobile DevCamp organization, for the audience, as well us for us, it turned out to be a very interesting day. Have a look at the summarizing video or at some photos Anne Helmond made.

Sparked by the first Music & Bits in April, a second Music & Bits was held on October the 21st. This time being the pre-conference of Amsterdam Dance Event, we continued the dialog about music and technology.

This year, for the third time, Music and Bits will be held on the 20th of October 2010 as the first day of the ADE Conference.

Music & Bits is organized by:

Tim Heineke, founder of Tone;
Vincent Lindeboom, owner at Bomvol Inc.;
Edial Dekker, co-founder of Your Neighbours;
Roel van der Ven, co-founder of Your Neighbours;

We are organizing this event in return for groupies, diamonds and the love we share for online music. And offline, but that’s just too 1.0.

About Amsterdam Dance Event

… the gateway to the international electronic music scene

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the leading electronic music conference and the biggest club festival for electronic music. Founded fourteen years ago, ADE first came to light in 1996 as a small conference with a few hundred music professionals and a festival program in 3 clubs with 30 DJs.

Now in 2010, ADE has grown to become the ultimate platform to meet international business partners, introduce businesses to a worldwide audience and get in touch with new people, new music and new trends.
